This was our first yurt exported to the U.S. in 2010, assembled on a ranch in a beautiful mountain near Malibu, California.

EG delivered and assembled two yurts in California on this trip; the other yurt was delivered and assembled in San Francisco.

Since 2010, we have made great strides in improving our yurts to make them more suitable for permanent use in climate conditions that are much different from Mongolia’s. All the improvements we have made are based on customer feedback and our experience of over a decade of making and delivering yurts in multiple countries.

Our first yurts were much like those currently supplied by most other Mongolian yurt sellers; that is, they were basically the same as those supplied for the Mongolian domestic market, focusing on portability and making use of materials readily available in Mongolia. But, we quickly came to realize these materials do not really hold up well when used in humid, hot conditions outside of Mongolia. Hence, we have improved most of the materials used for our yurts, including felt, outer cover, paint, and glue. Also, we added reflective insulation, a full plexiglass skylight, operable windows, and ventilation options. As a result, we can now confidently claim our yurts are of the best quality and provide the best value for money to our customers.
